Role Overview

The Technical Support Specialist will be part of the IT Service Desk team and will provide comprehensive technical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This includes resolving hardware and software issues, managing network configurations, handling tickets, and collaborating with vendors to solve complex IT problems.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Support and Troubleshooting

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, servers, and network issues.
  • Support Windows 10/11 operating systems and resolve OS/file system/network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve a range of Windows applications and network problems efficiently.

2. User Support

  • Onboard new user devices to Microsoft Intune and resolve account/profile-related issues.
  • Provide support for Microsoft Outlook, VPN installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Offer remote assistance to users and resolve LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity issues.

3. Network and Infrastructure Management

  • Monitor internet lines and work with ISPs to resolve connectivity issues.
  • Manage TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP configurations and firewall/UTM setups for load balancing and failover.
  • Fix LAN/Wi-Fi issues at PC, access point, and firewall levels.

4. Asset and Ticket Management

  • Maintain IT asset inventory, allocation, and configuration as required.
  • Handle IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution using tools like ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external support teams to resolve hardware/software issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, BE/BTECH, or related field.
  • Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day IT support activities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, prioritization, and documentation skills.

Key Technical Skills

Technical Proficiency

  • Windows 10/11 operating systems troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Intune, Office 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and SharePoint support.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls/UTMs.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.

Additional Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, MDM/UEM, and Microsoft Defender/Antivirus.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Mac OS systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of RDP and laptop/desktop hardware maintenance.
