Role Overview

As a Digital IP Design Technologist – RTL, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance RTL architectures, optimizing digital IPs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance RTL architectures for digital IPs.
  • Develop optimized Verilog/SystemVerilog code for scalability and efficiency.
  • Work on ASIC and FPGA-based designs, ensuring robustness and reusability.
  • Perform timing analysis, synthesis, and power estimation.
  • Debug and optimize RTL for high-speed, low-power, and area-efficient designs.
  • Collaborate with system architects, verification teams, and backend engineers.
  • Explore next-gen microarchitecture techniques to enhance design performance.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of digital design principles, including pipelining and memory subsystems.
  • Experience with industry-standard bus protocols such as AMBA, AXI, and AHB.
  • Proficiency in EDA tools (VCS, SpyGlass, Design Compiler, PrimeTime).
  • Ability to optimize RTL for ASIC and FPGA targets.
  • Expertise in low-power techniques, formal verification, and debugging.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with storage systems, memory hierarchy, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Experience with RISC-V or custom processor design.
  • Knowledge of FPGA prototyping and emulation methodologies.
  • Understanding of DFT, scan insertion, and MBIST techniques.
