DBS Bank is hiring Specialist, Special Assets Management

Job Purpose

Manage Relationships of NPL clients with a view to exit at minimal loss.

Coordinate audits/ inspections by statutory auditors, internal auditors, and RBI for NPL accounts.

Regulatory and internal reporting

Key Accountabilities

Coordinating & communicating with clients as well as all internal communication. Undertaking regular monitoring of borrower accounts and maintaining an update on the developments in the respective borrower accounts.

Initiating legal action under recovery laws. Liaison with the law firms representing DBS in various courts/Tribunals.

Resolution of NPL cases. Appraising resolution proposals & scrutinizing relevant documents before proposing/seeking approval from competent authority, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines.

Coordinate with various departments and Head Office for SAM MIS, for internal as well as external reporting. Resolving queries of the internal, concurrent as well as RBI auditors.

Job Duties & responsibilities

Adhere to the internal and regulatory risk management guidelines. Take control of all reporting requirements internal as well external.

Develop Recovery Plan for accounts in the portfolio. Heighten portfolio monitoring to preserve the quality of our assets on a continuous basis.

Ensure reviews are completed prior to due date and are error free.

Interact and follow up with clients on required information and clarifications.

Required Experience

6 to 8 years of experience in Banking (preferably Stressed Assets management department) / Assets Reconstruction Company.

Education / Preferred Qualifications

Professional qualification or post graduate degree, preferably in business, accountancy

Technical Competencies

Sound knowledge of legal process applicable for resolution of NPL cases.

Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines on credit issued by RBI (local regulations in India), Monetary Authority of Singapore and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general.

Basic knowledge of legal environment in India

Work Relationship

Interaction and good working relationship with IBG Relationship team, CCU and other product teams (GTS, T&M etc), and other Vendors.
