Who are we looking for?
- An engineer with 4+ years’ experience in validation of Network Services for a major client in the SD-WAN domain.
- Passionate about technology with extensive experience in Validation projects and Manual QA.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge in L2/L3 protocols, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IPv4 and IPv6.
- Experience in Software Product Life Cycles and Standard Validation approaches.
- Ability to troubleshoot IP networks, including a deep understanding of ISO layers of IP networking, familiarity with routers, switches, and standard IP protocol analyzers.
- Demonstrable skill in testing methods such as using test cases, Rapid Testing, Sessions Based Testing, and Exploratory Testing.
- Working knowledge of network traffic generators such as netperf, iperf, and IxChariot.
- Strong networking experience in TCP/IP, Switching, and Routing.
- Familiarity with validation methodology, processes, and tools.
- Configuring OS (some or all Linux, Windows, VMWare).
- Familiarity with the defects tracking system.
- Configuration and setup of servers for validation.
- Issue Triaging and Debugging.
- Coordinate effectively with different teams across various geographic locations.
- Good to have experience in validation of drivers and firmware of Storage or Network controllers.
Process Skills:
- Experience in Testing Methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
- Report and log issues found during testing. Provide status of testing on a timely basis.
- Constantly engage with developers to help them understand the defect reason, root cause, and failure point.
- Work independently for test environment setup and problem solving. Be self-learning to improve work efficiency/quality, technical knowledge/skill.
