What you’ll do:
Monitoring Content Development: Develop monitoring content using OpsRamp SNMP/SDK frameworks to discover and monitor health of network/storage/compute systems.
Responsible for understanding target device SNMP domain capabilities and look for potential MIBs/OIDs to capture mission critical parameters health.
Responsible to write extended scripts for SNMP enabled device monitoring using Groovy/Python
Responsible for requirements gathering and solution validation from end customers or customer facing teams.
Responsible for doing competitive analysis to understand how others are monitoring SNMP enabled devices.
Responsible for developing monitoring / automation scripts using scripting tools and languages such as Groovy, Shell, Bash, Python and PowerShell.
What you need to bring:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an engineering with a focus on remote infrastructure (network/storage/compute) monitoring content development. Good to have ITOM product experience.
Must have strong domain knowledge in Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
Strong understanding of MIBs and SNMP walk commands and outputs.
Strong scripting experience with scripting tools and languages such as Groovy, Shell, Bash, Python and PowerShell
Knowledge on REST/SOAP APIs client application development
Experience in Git / GitHub
Experience in IDEs like Eclipse, PyCharm or any other
Good to have knowledge in packet analysis tools like Wireshark.
Analyse use cases and requirements to design secure and scalable monitoring solutions.
Dynamic with a strong sense of responsibility and positive attitude
Great attention to detail, and passionate about quality of deliverable
Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and problem-solving skills
Proficient in project management tools like Jira and Zendesk.
