Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain active workflow folders for new and existing loans as directed by CLOs and Credit Analysts.
  • Assist with the completion of loan files including, but not limited to:
  • Request/order and review all documentation in support of a loan request.
  • Conduct preliminary collateral research.
  • Verify customer identification, update customer records, and prepare documentation required for regulatory and compliance purposes.
  • Work within Loan Origination software to set up or review existing loan requests.
  • Review files and application checklists for missing documentation.
  • Prepare draft Compliance Certifications.
  • Generate loan closing documents in compliance with regulations. Send loan documents to borrowers, title company, etc.
  • Work with CLOs, Credit Analysts, peers, and other parties to coordinate timely closings in conjunction with receipt of all required documentation.
  • Post closing, ensure loan documentation is signed and imaged appropriately.
  • Post closing, work with loan processing on applicable loan file maintenance, to include tracking and monitoring, and ensure that files are completed in a timely manner.
  • Effectively work to collect pending documentation such as title policies, recorded deeds of trust, vehicle titles, etc., and maintain tickler systems accordingly.
  • Work within construction loan management software to set up, track, balance, and process construction draws and inspections. Also assist with tracking inventory on builder guidance lines to ensure loans are within approved parameters.
  • Provide support as needed in answering customer questions, and processing payments, advance requests, payment corrections, payoff requests, etc.
  • Obtain new or renewed collateral insurance documents and work with third party insurance tracking vendor.
  • Perform clerical duties (filing, copying, scanning, email/mail correspondence, etc.) related to the commercial lending function.
  • Perform job duties in compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Commercial Lending Team Lead or Senior Commercial Loan Officer.

Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of financial institution or business-related experience

*College coursework may be considered in lieu of required experience

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate computer applications and basic business equipment

Qualifications Preferred

  • Associates degree
  • 3 years of financial institution experience with 2 years in lending/lending support
