The Networks department is the heart of Akamai – deploying, growing, configuring, and maintaining the hardware Akamai Platform. The Network Operations Systems group is a software engineering team that creates automation to help the rest of the department work more efficiently.

You will be part of the team that works on a variety of systems and projects, including server infrastructure for our tools, creating and maintaining tools for network data visualization, and designing new applications to solve problems before they arise.
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for-
Creating new tools and developing new features for existing software to solve big problems
Creating reliable, high-quality, usable software that meets the needs of Networks for robust, scalable, and highly available tools
Creating developer documentation for the tools that you write when applicable
Enhancing and improving existing applications and tools
Understanding complex business needs and technical challenges
Do What You Love
To be successful in this role you will-
Have 2 – 4 years of relevant industry experience
Have hands-on experience using Python, Flask and SQLAlchemy
Have hands-on experience with ReactJS or Angular JS
Have hands-on experience with MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL
Have hands-on experience working in a linux-based environment
Have Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
