What You’ll Do

In this role, you will manage staffing operations for allocated cohorts, ensuring that the right teams are placed on the right projects. You will work closely with senior leadership, HR, finance, and recruiting teams to optimize staffing and mobility across BCG’s global teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Individually managing staffing for assigned cohorts and collaborating with leadership to fill team roles for cases.
  • Ensuring optimal team composition by aligning staffing decisions with career development goals and project needs.
  • Handling visa documentation and monitoring immigration for cross-office staff (COS) movements.
  • Facilitating weekly staffing meetings, preparing forecasts, and ensuring availability sheets are updated.
  • Managing leave planning during peak periods to maintain business continuity.
  • Collaborating with the Career Development team to ensure staff development opportunities are aligned with staffing decisions.

You’re Good At

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent skills in staffing, people management, and cross-functional collaboration. Key competencies include:

  • Effective communication and leadership to engage with senior case leadership and team members.
  • Managing career development cycles (CDC) and ensuring development opportunities align with staffing guidelines.
  • Proactive management of staffing performance and addressing staffing flags based on project needs.
  • Fluency in managing cross-office staff (COS) movements, ensuring compliance with local guidelines and providing necessary inputs.
  • Utilizing advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to maintain staffing trackers and reports.

What You’ll Bring

To excel in this role, BCG seeks individuals with the following experience and qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of experience in HR, with a focus on staffing in a service industry or multinational company.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other desktop applications (PowerPoint, Word).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with staffing within a global consulting environment is a plus.
