Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
New Business & Strategic Selling
Develop comprehensive strategies to engage with new enterprise customers. Work on business expansion within the first 12 months, focusing on securing new accounts and accelerating their growth through GitHub’s product offerings.
Risk Management
Identify potential risks in deals and make informed, decisive actions to mitigate them. Proactively manage issues that could impact sales and ensure smooth transitions from prospect to customer.
Network Building
Build relationships with key customer stakeholders and collaborate effectively with GitHub’s internal teams to ensure successful deal closures. Use cross-functional expertise to demonstrate the value of GitHub’s solutions to customers.
Deal Process & Objection Handling
Map out the buying process for prospects, identify key stakeholders, and handle objections effectively. Collaborate with the internal sales team to strategize solutions and move deals forward to closure.
Effective Communication

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Experience in technology-related sales or technical selling.
- Proven track record of selling software products, particularly in the software development and DevOps domain.
- Experience with enterprise customers and selling to C-level executives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% for customer meetings and events.
Preferred Experience
- Experience selling to enterprise customers in BFSI/PSU sectors.
