Overview

This role will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting performance metrics for the Revenue organization, with a key focus on the sales organization. A successful candidate will need a strong combination of financial, analytical, technical and communication skills. This role will support both the Revenue and Finance organizations to improve GitHub’s operations.

Responsibilities

  • Defining, calculating, and reporting GitHub’s revenue performance metrics, such as Annual Recurring Revenue
  • Work with stakeholders in Revenue Operations, Sales and Revenue Leadership to teams to ensure accuracy of GitHub’s revenue data and inclusion of new constructs in reporting
  • Partner with Finance to facilitate and lead monthly business reviews for the Revenue organization outlining product performance, leading indicators for revenue, and go-to-market efficiency
  • Provide data and expertise to stakeholders such as Finance, Operations, and Microsoft’s strategy teams as required to support joint efforts to derive insights and suggest actions for improving the business
  • Be the subject matter expert for data and analysis for large cross-functional projects like improving pipeline reporting, renewal dynamics and optimization, and sales cycle management
  • Mentor and train analysts to be subject matter experts for specific components of the GitHub business

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in creating and managing sales metrics
  • 5+ years experience in a SaaS organization
  • 3+ years of experience in/working with a finance organization
  • 3+ years of business operations experience

Preferred Qualification

  • Knowledge of SQL and business intelligence tools
  • Experience turning large data sets into sophisticated models.
  • Knowledge of sales structures and GTM strategies

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $89,200.00 – USD $236,600.00 /Yr.

In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual’s base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
