FICC & EQUITIES
We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.
PIPG
- The Private Investors Product Group is part of the Global Banking and Markets Public Division
and focuses on the creation, market making, distribution and trading of securitized & OTC
derivatives and structured funds. Its main client bases are private banks, retail banks, online
brokers and other distributors that provide structured solutions to high net worth or retail
investors. PIPG offers warrants, certificates and notes in the US, Switzerland, Germany and
other European markets but as well in Hong Kong, South Korea, India, Japan and Singapore.
PIPG covers several underlying asset classes including equities, currencies, commodities and
rates.
- PIPG was founded in 2006 and traces its roots as the ‘warrants business’ back the early 1990s in
both Switzerland and Germany, but now covers markets in Asia/Pacific, EMEA and the Americas.
- PIPG has dedicated trading, sales, marketing, technology, strategies, structuring and operations
teams.
- The origination analytics team has to work with all other groups and primarily focuses on
reporting and analytics for PIPG globally. The group has primary responsibility for the creation of
mass issued public distribution portfolios as well as tailor made securities issued in response to a
client lead order.
Primary Responsibilities
- Playing key role in global automation initiatives and projects
- Leveraging data and trend analysis to optimize and tackle business problems
- Communicating findings and recommendations on critical initiatives and influencing stakeholders
to take action on those findings
- Work with stakeholders in various teams to understand size and growth initiatives to facilitate
business planning in the long-term
- Be responsible for product portfolio maintenance and drive initiatives to manage the cost side
of the business
- Work with business partners, technology and modelling teams to evaluate new and alternate
data sources as well as analytical tools
- Responding to regular and ad-hoc data analysis requests
- Ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner and adhere to quality standards
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree
- Experience in an analytical function, preferably in the financial services industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to interact with
global stakeholders
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products, tools and utilities for business use
Preferred Qualification
- Prior experience presenting to senior stakeholders
- Experience with business intelligence tools namely, SQL, Tableau and Alteryx
- Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and flexible self-starter with a strong analytical mind-set
- Self-motivated team player, ownership, accountability, organizational/prioritization skills,
proactive, ability to multitask, independent, focus on meeting deadlines
- Strong understanding of Global Banking and Markets Public Business and products
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and coordinate effectively with global colleagues
