Day in the Life: The Snowflake Data Engineer is responsible for managing Snowflake instances, database architecture, ELT/ETL process development, Data Management policy development, and support and QA activities of data management developments. Also responsible for coordinating with the various IT and functional system owners to design and deliver integrated Data Management solutions toward operational efficiency and a high data quality standard in the provisioning and distribution of enterprise data.
What You Will Do:
Build data models and design database architecture for Enterprise data Model.Source data from Data Lakes, APIs, and on-premises and transform, replicate and share data across cloud platforms Build and/or maintain ELT data pipelines in support of the enterprise model. Design scalable compute solutions for Data Engineer workloadsDevelop a Database Design and Reporting Design based on Business Intelligence and Reporting requirementsEvaluate MDM Applications, developments or models and provide recommendations for improvements.Snowflake DB Access management and implementing best practices for RBACEvaluate Performance and Costing metrics for Snowflake

What You Will Need:Overall 5+ years of experience and 4+ years in Data engineering At least 2+ years working with snowflake and relational databases (e.g., Redshift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle , RDS)Fluency SQL Fluency in PythonHands-on Experience in AirflowHands-on Experience in KafkaHands-on Experience with ETL/ELTStrong intuition for digging through mountains of data to find patterns, abnormalitiesStrong operational experience with Data Warehouse systems larger than 50 Tb (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata, Oracle,SQL)Experience with cloud technologies (such as AWS)Snow pro certified is mandatory
