HCLTech is hiring Graduate Deskside Support (2024 Intake)

The Graduate Deskside Support Engineer will provide technical support and assistance to end-users in an organization. This role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, setting up and maintaining computer systems, and ensuring smooth IT operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping others with their technical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve user issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Document and track issues using a ticketing system.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
  • Perform regular updates and patches to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
  • Manage inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Assist users with setting up new hardware and software.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues through research, analysis, and testing.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex problems.
  • Escalate issues to higher-level support when necessary.
  • Assist with basic network and server administration tasks.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service.
  • Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Follow up with users to ensure issues are fully resolved.

Educations Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Diploma in Information technology/computer science/engineering/network infrastructure or relevant technical area of study
  • Relevant internship and/or academic project experience in related to deskside support would be an advantage
  • Passion for IT Digital infrastructure in the emerging platforms or domains
  • Track record of outstanding academic performance and co-curricular activities
  • Willingness to learn and an interest in information technology services
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on different projects if required
