You should have passionate about food and have minimum 3 years of food production experience and a minimum of 2 years work experience in a multicultural environment. Food Safety qualification is required. Proven ability to prioritise and organise work to make the most efficient use of time available and proven training or experience in the field management in fields such as of Facility, Service, Meeting or equivalent. Good communication skills, both in English and local language is a must. You should be a trained experienced chef and have an interest and knowledge of food and customers. You should be passionate in ensuring that the food served is always of high quality.
You should have a good knowledge of IKEA Food Business Solutions, IKEA Food Safety compliance standards and of local food safety legislation, of local legal requirements, ordering and inventory procedures, extensive knowledge of Food production methods in a high-volume environment. Good knowledge about food menu trends and innovations that help IKEA to develop in a complex and changing environment is preferred.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Plan, create, prepare and serve high quality, delicious, appealing, healthy and sustainable food and beverages at a reasonable price that meets the taste and the needs of our co-workers and increase co-worker satisfaction.
• Fulfil internal and external demands on food safety, food quality, compliance, health and wellbeing and sustainability while being effective and efficient.
• Plan and create the total menu together with the colleagues in the Food Production team and schedule individual tasks.
• Plan, create, prepare and serve high quality, delicious, appealing, healthy and sustainable food and beverages options at a reasonable price both for serving in the food areas and for catering on site.
• Implement the global and national compliance standards and processes to secure food safety and a safe environment for co-workers and visitors in all food related areas.
• Secure high-quality standards and excellence in operations to create a seamless experience for our coworkers including food availability, quality, presentation, communication and waiting times.
• Perform all operational tasks connected to the inventory process, purchasing and price calculations for all products offered at a high quality.
• Implement the global and national sustainability strategy with special attention to waste management.
• Be part of the first aid and rescue team, support the Food Services Team or other areas of Workplace Support, when cross-functional support or collaboration is needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by seeking for and acting upon any feedback or needs addressed by our co-workers or visitors.
• Anticipate change and adapt daily processes in a constantly evolving environment.
• Ensure that the kitchen equipment is maintained and in full working order.
• Actively contributing to a safety first culture.
• Ensuring efficiency in operations and that routines and requirements are known by your colleagues and followed in all daily work.
• Being passionate about the food range and actively learning about its content, origins, preparation and other benefits as well as sharing your specialist competence with guests and colleagues.
• Presenting the width and depth of the IKEA food range and inspiring guests.
