Mandatory Skills/Knowledge
- Installation and Configuration: Deploy, install, configure, and upgrade VMware software and virtualization platforms based on client requirements.
- Experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting ESXi
- Experience on VMware vRA, vROPS, and vRO
- Experience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure, including virtual machines, ESXi hosts, vCenter servers, and networking components.
- Should be able to handle critical Incidents and able to perform root cause analysis.
- Should have experience in handling User service request and Alert management.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of VMware environments to ensure efficient resource utilization and high availability.
- Security: Implement security best practices to protect virtualized environments from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing their VMware-related concerns and inquiries.
- Experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration DC, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WSUS, Group Policy Management etc.
- Knowledge of basic network concepts e.g., IP, TCP, DNS, switches, routers etc
- Concepts of load balancers and their function and features
- Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for future capacity requirements, recommending hardware and software upgrades as needed.
- Should have knowledge of ITIL Process.
