Responsibilities of the Candidate:
Instal, configure and upgrade Oracle Enterprise Manager and related products
Implement and maintain database security products and controls
Perform database product tuning and performance monitoring
Monitor experience with OEM is a must
Setup and maintain documentation and standards
Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to the development and application team
Interface with Database product vendors for technical support.
Patch Management and Version Control
Capacity, performance, incident management
Install, Configure, manage, and administrations of Database Monitoring tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Provide guidance and direction in the area of Oracle infrastructure technology specialization to support platforms and sectors of DBA operations
Fully understand, support, and define platform and areas supported to minimize risks and impact to customers,
Review issues and escalations, as well as resolve production problems, ensuring that status and technical matters are reported to management in a timely manner
Utilize skillset to provide support, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning within Oracle DB technical domain
Support the creation and implementation of system improvements that will improve performance and reliability while maintaining controls
Work closely with our DBA partners for new projects from initiation to production cutover.
Help the Team to go through DB SRE model implementation
Create automation scripts to perform repetitive tasks and to ensure high data integrity.
Requirements:
Good Unix Shell programming skills
Strong knowledge in working with critical IT BAU processes in the DBA area
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly in high-stress situations
Proficient with automation technologies such as Microfocus DMA and Ansible
Understand internet networking services, such as DNS, HTTP, etc.
Programming and scripting languages (Python, bash, Java Script – additional experience with PHP, Groovy, Java, and/or Go is a plus).
Using Ci/CD scripting tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Preferred experience with GIT, GITFlow, JIRA, Confluence, and Agile frameworks.
Knowledge of IP networking including TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IP routing, etc.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
