Key responsibilities within the AO team:
– Administer, monitor, and manage Snowflake environments.
– Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, and roles.
– Optimize Snowflake performance and storage, including query tuning and resource management.
– Implement and manage security measures, including access controls and data encryption.
– Automate routine tasks such as backups, data replication, and system updates.
– Collaborate with data engineering teams
– Develop and maintain documentation for Snowflake environments and processes.
– Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Snowflake performance, connectivity, and security.
Must Have
– Proven experience in Snowflake administration and management. – minimum 3 years
– Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and features.
– Proficiency in SQL and database design
– Experience with performance tuning and query optimization in Snowflake.
– Knowledge of security best practices and access control in Snowflake.
– Familiarity with data integration and ETL/ELT processes.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
– Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
– Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation.
– Experience with data visualization tools and reporting (e.g., Power BI).
– Certification in Snowflake or related technologies.
– Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
