Senior Performance Tester
Overview
Provides competent leadership, and highly specialized performance testing of complex systems and implement an effective Performance Test strategy for the program. Simultaneously plans, manages, and provides technical oversight for performance testing activities. Ensures that tested components are compliant with Mastercard standards and requirements.
- Define Performance requirements and acceptance criteria. Identify appropriate performance testing strategies and test plans covering environment, schedule, test data set up, testing techniques, and key SLA metrics keeping end-user requirements and customer experience in mind.
- Coordinate and participate in performance testing activities to ensure the quality and functionality of assigned MasterCard developed systems.
- Work with collaborative project management tools, load generators and other tools for performance monitoring.
- Conduct automated performance testing, manage performance defects, and troubleshoot performance issues covering platform hardware analysis, scalability, and application profiling (JVM, Databases, etc).
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues and work on performance fine-tuning.
- Define and implement best practices for end-to-end application performance management solutions including PoC and Tools evaluation, specifically in the area of emerging technologies (Web, Mobile).

Software Engineering Manager
SessionM, a Mastercard Company, is a customer engagement platform empowering global brands to forge stronger and more profitable customer relationships. Ideal Candidate:
- Is responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions within our Golang or .NET stack
- Defines requirements for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes and best practices
- Formally supervise and coach 2+ teams
- Work with business/product owners to develop and deliver on new services to introduce new products and bundles
- Ensure objectives and development plans are established at the start of the year and reviewed continuously throughout the year
- Recruit and hire the right talent

- Manage and optimize budgets, forecasting, and cost allocation while delivering on business needs in the area of ownership

Experiences
- Management of software engineering teams
- Progressively grown career with proven design and development experiences in multiple languages, secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT), and vulnerability management
- Has skills in building applications using open frameworks to achieve reuse and reduce development times. Golang preferred – though experience in other languages will be considered.
- Understands internals of operating systems (Linux is a must) to deliver interoperable and performant code
- Able to perform debugging and troubleshooting using APM tools such as SingalFX, New Relic, etc
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Has skills to undertake a technical review of code across applications and their dependencies to look for anti-patterns and promote continuous refactoring
- Understands system architecture to plan for platform and infrastructure capacity (e.g., database, compute, network, storage) and drives the dependency prioritization to reduce the delivery lead time
- Has skills to simplify deployment and eliminate software and infrastructure snowflakes using standardized platforms, ephemeral instances, and automation
