Role Overview
The Implementation Consultant will work directly with Oracle Hospitality customers to install, configure, and support the OPERA system. You’ll be responsible for analyzing customer requirements, customizing the solution to fit their operational workflows, and training staff on the new system. Your role ensures a smooth transition from the old system to OPERA, followed by continued support and problem-solving post-implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and install the OPERA Property Management System (PMS) for hotel clients globally.
- Analyze client requirements to customize solutions that match their operational workflows.
- Lead the training process for staff, ensuring smooth transitions to the new system.
- Provide technical consultancy to clients before and after “go-live”.
- Manage project timelines and ensure all configurations are implemented to meet specifications.
- Offer ongoing technical support and consultation after the system is live.
- Ensure client satisfaction through consistent communication and problem-solving.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 2-5 years of experience in implementing or configuring Oracle Hospitality Solutions (OPERA) or similar systems.
- Experience in hotel operations, particularly in Front Office Management or Reservations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of clients and manage shifting schedules.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with OPERA Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and Windows Server environments.
- Experience in a customer-facing role or consulting background in the hospitality sector.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems independently.
