As part of that, we focus on innovative tools, Developer centric portal, Developer Docs, API Refs, dashboards and Sandbox Engineering. It’s a new role for helping build nextgen tooling for Sandbox.

The work involves using AI and ML technologies to solve problems, developing tooling and products from ground up. It’s very exciting phase for our team to learn new technologies and make a bigger impact on overall PayPal products and services.

Develops efficient, elegant, clean, reusable code with no unnecessary complication or abstraction.
Mentor other engineers and developers by providing technical and business-related guidance and resources;
Deliver quality solutions on schedule.
Create / Review well-articulated, detailed design documents.
In your day-to-day role you will be responsible for:
- Presents issues and solutions to audiences of varying sizes.
- Provides recognized technical and business leadership and can provide deep technical support across a range of functionality.
- Manages workload and other assignments efficiently while being able to resolve time-critical situations reliably and professionally.
What do you need to bring:
- 8+ years of experience in Software Development
- Proficiency in back-end technologies
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly performant, backend systems in programming languages like Java, Golang, Python etc.
- Working experience with microservice architecture, relational and NOSQL databases, REST APIs, and public Cloud computing.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code along with unit and integration test code with automation, be able to deploy the code in VM/Docker/containerization environment.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure system integration and efficiency.
- Experience/knowledge with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), github (or other version controls), Docker and Kubernetes
- Problem-solving and critical thinking: Engineers should be able to solve problems and think critically about the design and functionality of software applications. They should be able to break down complex problems into smaller parts and find solutions to them.
- Collaboration and communication: Engineers must be able to work collaboratively with other team members, including tech leads, product managers, and other developers. They should be able to communicate effectively with their team members to ensure that the software application is designed and built according to specifications and requirements. Good communication skills also help Full Stack Engineers to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
