We are currently recruiting for a Multinational Technical Underwriter to join our established and experienced Global Network team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
The purpose of this role is to support the technical development of the Global Network and RSA’s multinational proposition by providing guidance and support in the writing of multinational business. This is for both the RSA Group and Strategic Network Partners (SNP’s), ensuring that all business is written within agreed parameters.
You will hold an underwriting executive licence for the purpose of reviewing and responding to referrals. Your role operates across the Group and will involve some UK and international travel.
You will act as a referral for Global Network users in order to provide guidance on programme structure and other technical considerations across underwriting, claims, reinsurance and regulation. You will coordinate the review and response to all referrals from SNP’s in a timely and appropriate manner in accordance with RSA licence framework.
About You
To be successful in your role of Multinational Technical Underwriter, you will need experience of designing, implementing and/or managing multinational insurance programmes, ideally with exposure to property programmes, in either an underwriting, claims or operations function – multiclass experience would be beneficial but not essential.
You will need experience of operating in a highly regulated environment, with a working knowledge of the governance / compliance frameworks in operation within RSA or similar insurance company.
You will need to have experience of Property Underwriting on a global scale.
