Role Overview
The Mac Detection Engineer will play a pivotal role in SentinelOne’s Detection team, ensuring the company stays ahead of cybercriminals. Key Responsibilities
Malware Research & Detection
Research advanced malware techniques targeting macOS and create detection rules to identify and mitigate these threats. You will be responsible for continuously improving SentinelOne’s ability to detect and respond to new types of attacks.
Incident Response
Respond to cyber incidents and conduct root cause analysis to identify vulnerabilities. Work on implementing fixes to mitigate the impact of security breaches.
Collaboration Across Teams
Work closely with Product, Support, Sales, and QA teams to ensure that any issues are addressed quickly and effectively, and that detection rules are updated accordingly.
Development & Architecture Improvements
Contribute to the design and development of macOS detection architecture and collaborate on new feature developments to enhance SentinelOne’s platform capabilities.
Skills & Knowledge
- Previous experience in malware research on macOS or iOS (willing to transition to macOS).
- Strong understanding of macOS internals and user space.
- Experience with macOS Endpoint Security Framework.
- Software development experience on macOS or iOS, with proficiency in Objective-C.
- Ability to perform systematic root cause analysis on complex OS systems.
