The SentinelOne Product Documentation team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the knowledge base, product help, support-specific deliverables, and on-demand PDFs. We use an XML-based CCMS that single-sources to all our delivery mediums. We are committed to constant innovation and improvement of methodologies and self-development.
Every team member is expected to learn technology on their own, use the product, create assets (procedures, conceptual topics, and more), be helpful and responsive to all in SentinelOne, and work as a team (sharing the load and knowledge).
What are we looking for?
You will create release notes, user procedures, user scenarios, graphics, and innovate for more formats. You will create virtual environments and run automation scripts. You will peer review and write according to our controlled language and style guide. Every day will be a new challenge, a new set of skills to use and on which to improve, based on your preferences in the requirements of the current projects.
What will you do?
- Strategize, extensively research, and meticulously document features utilizing a topic-based methodology, fostering collaborative partnerships with Support, Development, QA, Product Management, and cross-functional teams, with a strong emphasis on self-directed learning through hands-on exploration and independent study.
- Demonstrate mastery in adhering to our style guide and the implementation of STE, ensuring the creation of flawless release notes and comprehensive admin guides, disseminated across diverse formats.
- Lead initiatives with the Product Documentation team to develop cohesive, integrated deliverables, while spearheading innovation for continual process refinement and enhancement.
- Assume a lead role in team projects, facilitating expedited releases and consistently elevating the quality standards across all documentation initiatives.
What skills and knowledge should you bring?
- 5+ years experience as a senior technical writer
- Graduate of a technical writing course
- Ability to learn quickly and to produce quality
- Consistent self-tracking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Native English, written and verbal
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple documentation projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to creating precise, high-quality cybersecurity documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to comprehend intricate cybersecurity concepts, identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and transform them into actionable guidance.
- Experience collaborating in an agile development environment and working closely with interdisciplinary cybersecurity teams.
- Extensive experience and proficiency in utilizing Paligo or similar structured authoring tools.
- Bonus: Experience with cyber security
