TEKsystems is hiring Help Desk Technician

Description

Our client is looking for 10 help desk team members to join their current team to assist with a 3 – 4 month project over late summer. These candidates will join a team of 9 helpdesk technicians. During the summer months, this team handles approximately 300-700 of tickets per day with a resolution rate of 60%. All other tickets are escalated to various IT support teams who support the 90+ clients.

This person will be responsible for initial troubleshooting of an issue and must be able to thoroughly document their work in the ticketing system (they currently use HEAT). This person will see a wide variety of issues each day and should know basics like basic networking, troubleshooting a laptop or laser printer, troubleshooting browser issues, performing password resets etc.

At the start of the contract, consultants will participate in a 2-week training class lead by two team leads to learn the ins and outs of the district’s technology and how to troubleshoot common requests.

Consultants should plan to commit to the project until AT LEAST September 6th. They could be extended longer based on performance/call volume.
