Job Description
Manage NetApp storage environments, including SAN, NAS, and CIFS/NFS protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize storage solutions.
Monitor and maintain NetApp storage performance, capacity utilization, and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage issues in a timely manner.
Participate in incident management processes and contribute to knowledge transfer efforts.
Job Requirements
Familiarity with Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, and other backup tools.
Strong understanding of Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) technologies.
Proficient in managing NetApp storage environments using CLI commands and GUI interfaces.
Knowledge of storage replication techniques such as RP and RS.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.
Take ownership of technology and related infrastructure product roadmaps.
Create, maintain, and communicate the technical infrastructure platform standards.
Build the technology tower components and design patterns.
Participate in projects, bringing technology roadmap expertise to bear particularly in the project planning and design phase, and through the build and implementation phases.
Contribute or take ownership of high-level designs.
Create low-level designs.
Use performance, compatibility testing and dependency management between components.
In partnership with Operations, manage vendor relationships with focus on new product developments.
Contribute to the delivery of efficient solutions to meet business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
In depth expertise in NetApp Cluster Data ONTAP v9.
In depth expertise in Veritas NetBackup v10.
In depth expertise in SAN Fabric configuration.
Good troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to produce documentation to a high level.
Able to take ownership of issues and see them through to completion.
Able to communicate effectively with other teams and management of varying technical abilities.
